The konichiest of wa's to you all! 1/26/14

Konnichiwa!
Managed to stay in Tsukuba for another transfer!!! so pumped! and staying with my companion Sister kelley! I think i already said that in my last email but im really just so pumped! I love this area! Everyone speaks english! haha! good and bad thing.. my japanese is awful but im getting to know really great people! I love all my friends here in tsukuba!
Tuseday we had a lesson with my scuba diver friend Kaori. She showed us all her pictures from her different dives all over the world! Just added scuba diving around okinawa (a japanese island) to my to-do list for when i get home! looking at all of her pictures really really made me miss the ocean!!! its been wayyyy tooooo longgg! Kaori is way awesome! we ate lunch together and answered her questions about mormons and missionaries. She had heard some pretty out there things about mormons so we were glad we could help clarify :) we asked her if she was interested in learning more and she flat out said not really. hahah.. but she said its because she doesnt know anything about it yet. So we agreed to meet us again next week! woo!! i like her! shes fun and loves life! im going to learn a lot from her!
after we left her lesson we were a little bummed that she wasnt just dying to learn more like we had imagined.. hahah so we went to visit our friend at his smoothie store. Everytime we visit he gives us free ice cream! that cheered us up pretty good! hahah! I also got a cup of water and didnt know what to do with it after i was done. A near by lady looks at me and says "leave it there" wow! english! hahaha! turns out she lived in new york for 11 years as a yoga teacher. She was so excited to hear that we were missionaries! She said she too was just trying to go about life being a tool in Gods hands! we almost laughed with excitment! We got her number and email and she said she would love to talk about "God, light, and love" sometime! hahaha! i already love her!!!
Wednesday. i dont even know.. for some reason both my companion and i were dead. No energy, no motivation, just exhausted. I almost fell asleep on my bike! talk about dangerous! hahaha! we went housing like all day long and kind of just wanted to quit. so tired! we talked about what we could do to fix our situation. Nothing came to mind. hahaha! you cant really just go take a nap.. so we agreed on sticking it out and enduring to the end! hahah! well as always we say miracles! I looked down and checked te phone and two of our investigators had emailed us and said they could both meet the next day! Halleluah!!!!!!!! nothing could have made us happier!!! it turned out to be a great day! we gave a book of mormon to an old man who seemed thrilled to read it, and then later joined the other sisters for dinner with my old investigator Miyuki! We made her american pancakes and made her put peanut butter and nutella on them! she about died! hahaha! "too sweet!" hahaha! so thankful for all the tender mercies from my heavenly father! Its the only we get by! I feel his love and care for me no matter what! especially through the hard times!
So thursday we had two appointments! first with Yoko! my 82 year old bestie!!! she treated us to lunch at a nice resturant in a hotel! fancy! she is just really the cutest thing of my life! i just want to keep her forever! We walked around a park before lunch and she just held my hand! hahah! she asked me if i would go with her on a trip after my mission to one of the japanese islands hahahah! she loves me! and good thing cause i adore her! just picturing that vacation makes me laugh! my and my 82 year old bff! at lunch we talked a little bit about the plan of salvation. She likes to learn about our church but she doesnt know if she can believe. She has such great beliefs already and we just want to build upon her faith! i know she will get it soon! We asked her to pray to her Heavenly Father! My sweet yoko is so precious to her Father in heaven i know he will answer her prayers!
After, yoko drove us(that was quite the experience....) to another resturant where we met with Atsuko! We met her at the station a few weeks ago but she stopped replying to our emails. But she met us because she has some interest and also wants to help us learn japanese hahaha! way sweet! so we should her our pictures books and had her help us translate sentances for us. We got to talk about the importance of families. She felt the same! Families are oh so good! This week we are going to her house to play with her 6 and 7 year old girls! cant wait!
Eikaiwa was amazing as always! After class was over, some of the college kids stayed back and played more games with a few of us missionaries! We played big booty but changed the words to "big eyes" to make it more missionary appropriate :) we all had so much fun!
saturday and sunday we had stake conference in Matsudo. Saturday a member picked us up and drove us all the way there but sunday we rode our bikes an hour to a members house and then had another hour in the car. We were exhausted. Tsukuba is very hilly.... coming home we were caught in a wind storm and the usual hour bike ride took us almost 2! hahahah! im dead right now. pretty excited for my pday nap that i forced my companion to schedule in hahahah!
We had a great week! lots of ups and downs but thats a mission for you! But everyday i am falling more and more in love with japan and the wonderful japanese people! There is no place i would rather be!
Hope all is well! thank you for all the love, support, and prayers!
love you!!!!
