Transfer 4 is coming to an end this week!!! wooooow!!!!! im going on my 5th??? whaaaattt??? people say that by the end of transfer 4 you know whats going on... nope so not the case! hahaha! im still so clueless! and its way fun!!! haha!
so this morning we got transfer calls........ and..... im staying in tsukuba!!!! yayyyy!!!! i expected that. I have made too many best friends here who have not been baptized yet! there is no way i could leave them!!! and Sister Kelley is still my companion!!!! woohooo!!! we are so excited!!! This is a first for me! every transfer so far i have gotten new companions so this is so cool! I love sister kelley and we have big goals so this next transfer is going to be a big one!!!!
So wednesday we had a lesson with our investigator Kato San! We met her during housing! which still just gets me! Sometimes when i think about how weird missionary work is, i realize how weird missionary work is. hahah! We knocked on her door and then she invites us in to teach her about religion? i dont even know but i love it!!! So wednesday we taught her about the restoration. We had a really good discussion about the importance of family. She agrees 100% and is so grateful for hers! Its so sweet! when we talked about our living latter day prophet she was so surprised! she was so cute and just kept saying (in japanese) "wow im so surprised!" hahah! she had never heard of living prophets who recieve revelation for gods children in this day! How happy i was to testify that God loves us and wants us to be lead in all ways! That having a prophet is a huge blessing! She seemed to think so as well! The lesson overall was really good! the spirit was strong and we had a good time! she is adorable! however at the end when we asked her to be baptized she explained that she had already been baptized. We again explained the need for baptism by the proper authority which came from God through joseph smith. It didnt seem to click because she kept saying that she was good. hahha.... we didnt know what to do so as two young awkward missionaries we schedlued a next appointment and left. Didnt really help resolve the concern but we were both at a loss of words. We wanted to be careful with our wards and not offend her in anyway because we absolutely adore her! so leaving seemed like the best option! something that we need to pray about to know how to help her!
after her lesson we had another lesson with Ujiie San. We meet him housing as well! that lesson didnt go as well though.. we taught him the restoration as well. He is an older man about 70 years old and is a super smart scientist. Elementary particles? i dont know.. anyways he is just too smart and wants things to be more complex. We told him our message was simple. He had a hard time focusing. Sister Higashi was there for our lesson and she tried to help us keep his attention but it always went off somewhere. We struggled. At the end of the lesson he got up and walked out. bummer. We visted him a few days later and he said he still wants to meet and learn. Not sure how to teach him. He is maybe a little lonely so we will keep being his friend and maybe refer him to the elders :)
Thursday was sister Reussers birthday!!!! 22! woohoo! (she by the way is going to chiba my last area! hahah! ) kelley shimai and i decorated her desk and made her cookies. Then at eikaiwa we threw her a little party! so fun! now with our huge eikaiwa class it really seemed like a party! so fun! and our ward mission leader bought her a costco pizza (only because i told him he had to hahaha) it was so thoughful! haha!
Friday we had a really good district meeting! Our mission goal is to have a baptism in every area every month. Well time is running out and tsukuba still has not seem a baptism this month. So we talked about what we need to be doing. We all decided that its going to just be taking that extra step. Talking to every single person. and we fasted on sunday for our two investigators Janet and Archie. Both missed their baptism dates and both lost contact with. We have great faith that we can still help our dear friends! I know we are going to see great miracles! we are all working hard!
Friday night we threw a movie night! we inited all that we could but only one guy came and two ward members... hahaha! not much of a success. it was a good try though! the guy who came had seen the testaments online before though! so thats cool! hopefully becomes a new investigator soon!! OHHH and friday was a special day... HAPPY CHAD AND GRANDMA C!!! miss them both dearly!!! thought of them all day long! love you both with all my whole heart!!!
saturday we went and visted Anu our indian friend! she and her daughter have the cutest relationship ever! Makes me miss my mommy! We gave her the proclamation to the family. She is maybe not really interested in learning about our church but she loves us and we love her! so thats good for now!
SUNDAY IT SNOWED IN TSUKUBA!!! werid.... its so flippin cold! but it only snowed to just cover the ground. didnt last either. But it sure was cute to see all the little kids at church running all over the church throwing snow at each other! hahah! they were way excited! so cute!
So thats about it. We are meeting with yoko my 80 year old best friend! meeting with my other new scuba diving friend kaori too! im excited for this week and for this transfer!!! too many miracles to even count! And thats definitely what ive learned from this transfer. Gods hand is in our lives and if we humble oursleves enough we will realize that He blesses us in all things! Every night we countour many blessings and write them down in our planners! The list goes on and on and is just too long to count! and i love it!
hope all is well! love and pray for you all!!! thanks for all the support, letters, and love! thank you! love you!!!
