Hello!!!!
this week was just toooooo good!!! sadly none of our investigators are really progressing, and no one can ever meet with us because japanese people are the busiest people in the entire world... so we had lots of time to find new investigaotrs which really means lots of time to see miracles! and we did!!! This whole transfer really has been almost all finding time. not a lot of teaching. and not a lot of success. Heavenly Father was just humbling us before he poured out lots of blessings and success unto us! We count every single one of those blessings! big or small! so no matter what we are always happy!!!
last tuesday we met with my best friend yoko san! shes my 82 year old friend who speaks amazing english! she is on top of the game! sweetest thing ever! she always calls me "my dear sister christensen" im obsessed! she invited us over to her house for a lesson. We taught about the restoration and it went really well! She unlike most japanese, believes in one god! she knows that she is loved by him! so cute!! she wants to take us to lunch sometime this week! im just so excited whenever i get to be with her! she is my best friend! i cant think of a better thing than seeing my best friend get baptized!!! one day! were working on it :) so that was a miracle!
Wednesday we went to Kato sans house. shes a new investigator. two weeks ago she said we could come back to her house in two weeks. so we did! she just aughed when she saw us on her doorstep but she let us in! she did a home stay in america and actually lived with a mormon family 30 years ago! she doesnt remember much but she loved them and is interested to learn more!! we gave her a book of mormon and have an appointment for tomorrow!! she is so sweet! her letting us in was quite the miracle!
on the way to her house, i ran into a former investigator!!! leah!! miracle!! hopefully going to try to meet with her again! later that night i taught my friend david and he wants to meet with the elders to learn more! miracle!!!!!
thursday was eikaiwa!!! so this last 2 weeks we had been really pushing and advertizing english class to start the new year! our whole ward got into it going and posting flyers all over tsukuba with us! normally we have like 3 students... well this thursday we had... over 30!!!!!! ahhhhh!!!! MIRACLE!!!! it was so fun!!! everyone loved it and told us they will bring their friends next week! woohooo!!! eikaiwa is the best!!!! just tooo good!! so many miracles!!! so many new friends!!!
friday we had 0 appointments so all finding time! but during this time we saw tons of miracles of course!! we met a philipino girl who just stared at us like we were the coolest things ever! she happily gave us her contact info and wants to be our friends! same thing with two other japanese girls! we were just blown away! one of them became other best friend! her name is kaori! she is a scuba diver! haha and lives in tsukuba??!! thats just too good! anyways we sat at the train station and she showed me her pictures for like an hour! soo neat! i now know what im doing right when im done with my mission! :) she gave me her email and after a few days of talking through email we were able to set a date to meet and talk about the gospel!!!! woww!!!! huge miracle!!!! yayy!!!
this week we met lots of prepared people! people who really are ready to learn and accept the gospel! but for some reason they are all men... hahah! old men too! and scientists! but they are way cool! two men said they will come to church this week! and we have an appointment with another tomorrow! his name is ujiie san! he is so cute! met him housing and said he wants to learn about christinaity because it seems to him that we have a great spirit about us each and every day! he is looking for that more in his life! how cute is that! he also told us that he wants to take us and our friends to see all the old sites in japan! hahah! how cute! i just met my japanese grandpa! adore him!
monday we had a sports day!! we invited members, and nvestigators to come play socer, football, and frisbee! it was a total success! we had such a good time! david came, and my chinese friend jessica came! our ward mission leader brought a frend for us to meet and she wants to come to our eikaiwa later! yayyy miracle! all the missionaies are soooo out of shape! so sore from all the sports! hahah! it was so fun to play soccer again! its been a while!
and today! today was temple pday!!! without a doubt the bestest day of the whole transfer!!! i love that we get to go to the tokyo temple every transfer!! no place i would rather be! woke up at 4 but it was worth it! the goal is most definitely not to just baptize all my new best friends but to see them in the temple! that again woudl be just too good!!!
today was soooooo sad though. my trainer nagamine shimai is leaving! what??? she has one more week left! ew! i cant believe it! i cant picture my mission without her! we went to lunch together and then had to say bye. it was absolutly awful! i know i say i have made so many best friends but really out of them all my first companion is my absolute bestest friend! she means the world to me! she took such great care of me while i was only on my first transfer just freaking out everyday because i was in japan! and now shes going home! what killed was that when i go home to america my best friend will be oceans away and who knows when we will see each other again. Missions are the greatest but the worst! shes such an amazing missionary! i just love her! im definitely coming back to japan! i have to! too many friends that i have to see again!
really just had the best week! kelley shimai and i add up all the miracles every night and we are just blown away by gods love for us! seriously count your many blessings and it will surprise you what te lord has done! its all thanks to all of your prayers as well for all the missionaries! please keep praying for this work and for us missionaries! its working! i love and miss you all!! hope all is well!!! stay warm! cause its freezing here!! love you!!!!
