One year down!!!! Six crazy months to go!!!!! June 9,2014

konnichiwa!!!!! ai suru mina san ai shite imasuyo!!!!!

i got transferred!!!!!..... bittersweet! i loved my area and my
companion and our investigators but i also love the chnge! new
friends!!!! the last few days in kamagaya were the best!!! transfers
always bring so many miracles!!! everyone was willing to meet because
i was leaving! it was fantastic!!

so we went and visited everyone so i could say goodbye! my sweet
morita shimai cried! she has come such a long way! i am so proud of
this sweet lady! when we first met, she said her Book of Mormon was
hid away and she didnt think she wanted to get it out. and now she is
praying everyday, reading from the Book of Mormon everyday, and she
knows its true!! she will always have a special place in my heart! she
may have forgotten the reason she got baptized but watching her grow
and start to work on her testimony again is the greatest blessing!!!

we accidentally ended up having a little party! requilman shimai and i
planned on meeting another less active for a kebob at our favorite
little stand. well the owner of the stand loves us and so does his
family so he called them and we all ate together. Then the elders
showed up because everyone in kamagaya likes this guys food and they
joined us too!! it was so fun!! this family is from iran so everyone
just started at this big group of foreigners! haha! we cant really
talk about the gospel with them because they are muslim and it could
be dangerous for them if they were to convert so we have just become
best friends! but the miracle was that the owner came up to us and
said he wants to come to church! he loves his savior Jesus Christ and
wants to learn more about him!! he works every sunday so that makes it
a little tricky but we were thrilled!! if he wants to learn then we
can teach!!! and our less active that we ate with said she would come
to church too!!! all our friends at church!!! nothing could be
better!!

we visited all my favorite members! i love them all of course but
didnt have too much time between transfers. i got to see the hiranos
(shes the american married to the japanese man and her name is janet
so i really like her:) and the nakazonos! they have the cutest little
kids who wrapped around my legs asking me not to go! so cute! and so
sad!! but good thing is that all the members said i can come back and
live at their house anytime!!! woohooo!! best friends forever!!!

wednesday my eikaiwa students threw my a goodbye party! they all
planned it out and brought quite the feast! i feel bad cause we didnt
have class hahah but we had great food! we all ate rice around a ping
pong table! it was quite the japanese party!!! i love my students so
much!!! all my old lady friends!!! nobuko came up to me and said "i
have no words so i will just cry" ahhhhhhhhhhhh i love her so much!!!
we will be friends forever!!!

and then thursday came..... transfer day...... ughhh... but it was
also my one year mark!!! wooohoo!! so a member treated us to dennys
hahahah! so sweet :) i met my new companion at the mission home. well
the eki next to the mission home. sister smith and i had to walk to
the mission home to get our new phone. and of course right when we
started walking, it started pouring... we were not prepared and
neither were our bags.. everything soaked.. great way to start off the
transfer!! sister smith is so cute!! shes 28 and lived in Salt Lake
City! i love her!! sweetest girl ever!!!

so we are technically white washing because we both came to this brand
new area but the sisters before us had investigators we just dont know
them. so weve been doing lots of phone calls and emails trying to get
appointments with our investigators. they dont feel like they are ours
because we dont know any of them so its fun! hahaha!! our first day
though the old sisters did set us up with a practice lesson with a
member! but not just any member.. former quorum of the 70s member.....
brother ooishi was just realeased last conference! no pressure... he
and his wife were amazing!!! such sweet hearts and so helpful!! it was
the best experience!!!

i met a member who served in Anaheim!!! woohoo!!! we had so much fun
talking about good old california!!! i miss that place!!!

church was crazy!!!! so many new faces!!! my bishop is from tahiti and
doesnt speak any japanese!!!! hes married to a japanese woman but is
an english teacher and only studies english so really he doesnt speak
it at all. he has his counselors translate for him during sacrament
meeting. but he is so awesome!!! he had us over for dinner sunday
night! and we ate mexican tacos!!!!!!!!!! i was in heaven!!!!!!!!!!!
mexican food is definitely something i miss!!! my stake presidnet is
also not japanese. president dorff! great name. hahah!

Oops sorry... Our lesson went over and i didnt get to finish my
email.... Ugh. Gotta go! Curfew!!! Love you all!! Bye!!!!!
