愛する家族友達みなさんお元気ですか?
Woohoo such a god week in Sakado!! So many miracles and so many new friends!!
So ill start with my best friend! Yuko! We taught her last week on
pday! We do half english class with her and half gospel lesson. Before
we even started the english she looks at me and says that nothing in
the mormon church means anything to her. ouch. But she is the sassiest
person ive ever met so we kind of just shrugged it off hahaha! She
said she looked up the church online and read somethings that we
needed to clarify. After she said ok lets do english. We were so
confused and had no idea where the gospel lesson would go after that.
She is so funny though! japanese people are completely different
people when they are with foreigners! They are usually pretty calm,
quiet, and super respectful, but with us they are crazy!! Yuko was
just laughing and laughing! (yes someone else other than me thinks im
funny too :) the english ended and we told her we still wanted to
share a message with her so she said ok. Shes heard all the lessons
before so we decided to talk about the priesthood keys and that they
allow us be together with our families forver! the lesson was soooooo
good!! we all felt the sprit! She wont admit it but i know she knows
its true! She just needs to open her heart! I know it will come!
tuesday. weird day. why?? WE ARE NOW ON FACEBOOK!!!!!!...... ew. i
still dont know how i feel about it... i went on for the first time in
a year a few days ago. Im not allowed to do anything on it yet until i
clean it up first. But it was quite the shock! I forgot that people
move on without me! what??? i know it will be a huge blessing though!
We will be able to stay in better contact with all our new friends and
be able to share our testimonies with the world!!! i am still dreading
it but im excited for all the miracles that will come!
we had a way good zone meeting on tuesday and made some crazy goals as
zones and districts! my district plans on having 73 people at church
on August 10th!!!!!! its quite the goal considering ive had maybe 20
people at church in my entire mission.. but... we are getting down to
business!!! high goals, high expectation, means bigger miracles! we
are uniting our faith as a district and helping each other out! a few
more prayers would be helpful too :)
This week my companion and i also died. Obviously not really but our
bodies sure feel like it. We still dont know the area too well yet but
we have a mission from the bishop to visit all the less actives so
weve been going everyday to find a few. Turns out my area has some
mountains in it! and it also turns out that we have some less actives
on the top of those mountains... hahaha! it was fun though! my thighs
are huge and muscley but we found them so it was worth it!!
this week the weather has been so up and down! summer is back and its
a scary thing. It is killer hot and humid again. that familiar smell
is back too... not a fan. But because of all the rain it is absolutely
beautiful! so much green! i am so grateful for the beautiful world
that our Heavenly Father created for us!
Friday we had ping pong night!! And our friend Maika came! she is the
cutest thing ever! only 19 years old! she is also in love with me! its
so fun :) she calls me chris because the whole thing is just too long
hahah! after we had a church tour with her! she had never been in a
church before and she loved it! we talked about temples and eternal
marriages and she was just so giggly! hahaha! its the perfect happily
ever after! she said she wants to keep learning with us!! im so happy!
i love this girl!
I am so grateful for the plan of salvation that truly is our happily
ever! Life is not easy or perfect but but we belong to a heavenly king
who loves us. That gives me a sense of worth and belonging. I love my
Heavenly Father! His love is always there! No matter what!
I love you!!!!!
